One of the programs in which Foundever.org is participating is a women’s empowerment initiative in Egypt through its partnership with Carerha and the Freelance Mama program. Foundever.org is proud to bring the #CXforGood movement to life through this program to help female college graduates who had to stop working or never had the chance to start their career journeys due to a wide range of constraints and life events, including family obligations. The program provides women with training in graphic design, content creation, and virtual assistance/content moderation, setting them on a path for successful freelance careers.
Meet Nourhan, a supermom of 2
Nourhan, a mother of 2, had a vibrant career before she became a mother, working across marketing and customer service. She took a pause in her social and professional lives to care for her growing family. When she began to search for ways back into the workforce, Carerha’s Freelanece Mama program presented itself at just the right moment.
Since she was young, Nourhan has been an avid painter and drawer. She is obsessed with color! Luckily for her, the Freelance Mama initiative had just the track to fulfill her passion: graphic design. Learning about design concepts, how to mix colors and making palettes showed Nourhan that she is capable of making new and incredible things and that, despite her time away from the job market, she can do anything!
Not only did Nourhan benefit creatively from the program, but she also learned valuable time management skills, how to deal with clients, search for jobs, and improve her LinkedIn profile.
Finally, the graphic design course unlocked yet another passion in Nourhan: animation. Watching cartoons with her children is an activity Nourhan cherishes. Building on the skills she gained in Freelance Mama and feeling empowered by the program, she now feels confident to add new skills in animation.
