Language learning and education are key components to a successful integration into any country

According to the office of the New York City Mayor, nearly 100K migrants and refugees have entered the city since 2022. Resources are strained and unfortunately, this means that not everyone that needs the help gets it.

Language learning and education are key components to a successful integration into any country, but due to dwindling government resources, age-requirements, and other factors out of their control, many young adults age-out of or miss out of this critical support.

As part of an innovative and groundbreaking partnership with the Tent Partnership for Refugees, and under the sponsorship of Michelle Parks, CEO – U.S. Market at Foundever, Foundever.org has committed to supporting and funding programs for refugees and migrants in the U.S.

Our first joint initiative is with Project Rousseau, a non-profit dedicated to helping refugees and migrants with crucial education and legal services. Through our program, we strive to fill in the gap by delivering English language learning and General Education Development (GED) to help provide participants with the foundation they need to integrate into society.

Since launching in summer of 2024, our program has reached over 140 refugees from across the world with our first cohort of graduates. Learn more about this project here.

As part of this commitment, Foundever.org launched a program with Tent using the model of our award-winning language academy in Costa Rica, among other countries. Using this model for Spanish-speaking refugees provides them training to enhance their level of English and then help them find employment, potentially with a member of the Tent Business network, many of which are also clients of Foundever.
